This Website provides general information about household energy use and electricity tariffs for households in the Energex distribution area of South East Queensland. Results are generated from your inputs combined with published data — AER Consumer Data Right tariff data, AEMO settlement profiles and spot prices, Energex metered postcode consumption, and NASA solar irradiance data — together with general modelling assumptions.

Wattif is currently in beta. We aim to present accurate and current information, but the results are estimates that do not yet include retailer discounts and may not reflect your specific circumstances. Where you have not supplied your own meter data, figures are modelled from postcode-level population averages, and two households in the same postcode can differ substantially. Actual costs and savings will vary with your consumption, system performance, tariff structure, and future energy prices.

The project operates independently and is not associated with any energy retailer, EV charging, or technology provider.

Your privacy: Wattif runs entirely in your web browser. Any meter data you upload (such as a Energex data file) or bill details you enter are processed locally on your own device — this information is never sent to, or stored on, our servers, and we cannot see it. Like most websites, we may collect basic anonymous usage information (such as page visits and general location) through standard analytics to help us improve the site; this is separate from, and never includes, your energy or consumption data. If you use the optional bill-import feature, note that it relies on a third-party AI service you choose, so any details you provide there are handled by that provider under their own terms.

Pricing and comparison data are drawn from sources believed to be reliable, and tariff data reflects offers published on a stated extraction date; plans and prices change, and we cannot guarantee completeness or ongoing accuracy. Always confirm details directly with the relevant retailer or provider before making a decision.
